The key words in the first half of this chapter – communicate something of the difficulties we face… words like: ‘suffer’- v.17… ‘sufferings’- v.18… ‘bondage of corruption’- v.21… ‘groanings’- v.22,23,26… ‘perseverance’- v.25… ‘weaknesses’- v.26.
And it’s in the context of the trials, troubles, and temptations of living in a morally desperate world—that we are given this special WORD from our God in (v.32) ‘He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.’ There are two parts to this verse:
1st – A Statement of God’s Justice
2nd – A Promise of God’s Grace
