1st – Validate The Reality of Grace in Our Life – the grace of God makes us gracious people…
2nd – Good Works Demonstrate the Activity of Grace through a person’s life – so that we;
(1st) Grow in Our Assurance – as the graces of God become more and more evident in our lives our assurance of salvation becomes stronger… 1 Jn 3:17-19; 2:3-5…
(2nd) Edify Our Brethren – Heb 10:24-25… 2 Cor 8:1-7… 9:2… Tit 3:8.
(3rd) Adorn The Gospel – we make the gospel attractive and glorify our Savior when we decorate our lives with good works… Tit 2:3-10… 1 Tim 6:1.
(4th) Silence Our Adversaries – our actions and our life will either confound and silence those who oppose our Savior… or they will give them more ammunition for their hostility to Christ and His gospel – 1 Peter 2:12,15
(5th) Glorify God – Matthew 5:16; Hebrews 13:20-21
Bryan Wheeler Pastor Bryan Wheeler was converted to Christ in 1973. For most of the 20 years that he served in the U.S. Air Force he was actively involved in church-based preaching and teaching ministries in the U.S. and overseas. Pastor Wheeler was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1987 and was called into full time ministry in 1989. He is the pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Verona, VA. He and his wife Maureen were married in 1968 and the Lord has given them 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
