Marks of Spiritual Maturity in the Church
Text: Ephesians 4:15-16
There are three significant ideas in this portion of Ephesians Chapter 4…
1st … Unity – (v.4) ‘There is one body and one Spirit…’
2nd … Diversity – we’re all ONE—yet we are all very different, and that’s good—because God loves diversity…
This morning we are going to look at the third significant reality which is;
3rd … Maturity – Christ has given every one of us, spiritual gifts and graces so that we might all grow up in the faith. – (v.14) ‘That we should no longer be children…’
Bryan Wheeler Pastor Bryan Wheeler was converted to Christ in 1973. For most of the 20 years that he served in the U.S. Air Force he was actively involved in church-based preaching and teaching ministries in the U.S. and overseas. Pastor Wheeler was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1987 and was called into full time ministry in 1989. He is the pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Verona, VA. He and his wife Maureen were married in 1968 and the Lord has given them 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
