The Divine order in the application of grace is: 1st – Hearing The Word – how did they come to trust in Christ and believe the gospel? – They had to hear it first… (Rom 10:14,17> “How shall they believe in Him of whom they have not HEARD? And how shall they HEAR without a preacher?…Faith comes by HEARING…” – John 5:24-25; 10:16 2nd – Believing What They Heard – they trusted in Christ—and when they believed, ‘the word of truth’—that Word became – the gospel of their salvation.’ 3rd – Sealed With The Holy Spirit – the seal of God’s Spirit is the mark that God puts on every believer—a mark that means that we: belong to God… are true children of God… are eternally secure… are going to get an inheritance from God…
