PEACE from the world’s perspective is: Ø The Absence of Conflict – escaping from all the problems and pressures of life… Ø Getting Away From It All – and losing ourselves in the quiet serenity of some secret place, far away from the noise and the troubles of life. Peace for the world is: getting away, running away, or escaping from all the pressures, problems, and PEOPLE. The PEACE that Jesus is talking about has nothing to do with running away from my problems, the pressures, or from people. TRUE PEACE is not the absence of conflict—it’s the presence of God in the midst of conflict.
