GRACE takes us out of the slums of sin and brings us into the suburbs of glory… and GLORY brings us into the presence of God—at ‘whose right hand there are pleasures forevermore!’ But we need grace in this life… especially the grace of illumination—so that we might see more of God, and more of his truth, so we can better appreciate the things that God has provided for those of us who know and love him. There are three compelling reasons given in (v.18-19), for why you and I need our spiritual eyes opened…that we might know:
(1) The hope of God’s calling…
(2) The riches of the glory of God’s inheritance in His saints…
(3) What is the exceeding greatness of God’s power toward us who believe…
Bryan Wheeler Pastor Bryan Wheeler was converted to Christ in 1973. For most of the 20 years that he served in the U.S. Air Force he was actively involved in church-based preaching and teaching ministries in the U.S. and overseas. Pastor Wheeler was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1987 and was called into full time ministry in 1989. He is the pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Verona, VA. He and his wife Maureen were married in 1968 and the Lord has given them 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
