Basics #4 – The Key to Practical Godliness is the wisdom of God (Proverbs 2:6-11). Wisdom—is knowing God in such a way that the knowledge of Him changes my life and everything about me. The wisdom that comes from God is all about the practical application of the truth of Scripture (v.6).
(1) Based Upon Biblical Truth – Ephesians 5:15-17 – we must ask ourselves what does God want me to do in this circumstance or situation?
(2) Requires A Right-Heart Attitude – James 3:13-17
(3) Results In Doing The Will Of God – Psalm 111:10
Bryan Wheeler Pastor Bryan Wheeler was converted to Christ in 1973. For most of the 20 years that he served in the U.S. Air Force he was actively involved in church-based preaching and teaching ministries in the U.S. and overseas. Pastor Wheeler was ordained into the gospel ministry in 1987 and was called into full time ministry in 1989. He is the pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Verona, VA. He and his wife Maureen were married in 1968 and the Lord has given them 6 children and 4 grandchildren.
