Leadership & Officers

The Lord converted Pastor Luke Peterson around the age of 18. Early after his conversion, The Lord impressed upon him a call to pastoral ministry. Originally from North Carolina, Pastor Luke was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 2012. He pastored a congregation in North Carolina from 2012 until 2017 when the Lord sent him and his family to Central America. In 2017, he and his family lived in Nicaragua, learning the Spanish language. In the Lord’s Providence, in 2018, He was sent to plant a confessional church in Liberia, Costa Rica. There he served for two years as a missionary. He was installed as a pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in November 2020 and currently serves the congregation full-time.

Pastor Luke is married to his beloved bride, Courtney and they have two young children.

Andrew grew up in Roanoke, VA. He was converted in high school and subsequently baptized. He was married to Susan in 1998 and soon after graduated from Longwood College (University).   He has taught biology for over two decades (currently near Charlottesville, VA; previously in Lisbon, Portugal; Richmond, VA; and Bangkok, Thailand). He has studied at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). He loves learning languages, drinking coffee, and all things botanical. He is blessed with a Godly wife and 4 children.  Pastor Andrew has been a member of EBC since 2014 and was ordained and installed in August 2022.
